The Return of Wallpaper

When I was younger, whenever my family moved the first major decor decision my Mom made was the wallpaper. Whether hideous bowls of fruit on repeat in the kitchen or outdated 80s prints, the wallpaper was always the first to go.

Not so today. With whimiscal and clever designs, decorating with wallpaper feels fresh and fun. When B and I are no longer renting, I can’t wait to wallpaper an accent wall but, until then, these pretty designs will have to tide me over.

I love how this 70s-inspired design adds an unexpected pop of color to this cosy reading nook.

This subtle print would also work great in a bathroom or laundry room.

How darling would this teaspoon wallpaper from Anthropolgie be as an accent wall in a kitchen or as a whimsical touch to the inside of cabinets?

This pattern is the perfect pop of energy in an otherwise crisp white room.

How clever are these faux white-washed walls from My Deco? I love how this could add a warm rustic element to a new space.

And one more woodsy-inspired design!  Couldn’t resist!

What are your thoughts on wall-paper? Do you like the idea of tricking the eye with wallpaper?

Cheers,  Em
