Back to School

ImageGood morning, dearies!

I’m so sorry for not posting yesterday—I love sharing my travel experiences with you and I hope you can forgive me for missing Travel Mondays. If you like, you can find all previous travel posts here. With Thanksgiving upon us and a short work-week, I’ve been scrambling to get everything done…my poor copy of Crime and Punishment hasn’t been opened since our anniversary getaway. A month ago.

I do, however, have some exciting news or, at least, news I’m trying to get excited about.  I’m going back to school. This decision seems both logical and irrational and even now, after registering and paying tuition for my first course, I still feel hesitant to become a student again. At the same time, I’m stubborn that this is something that must be done. In my heart, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher.

I crossed the Atlantic to Bristol University with this purpose, earning my masters in English lit. to teach English, yet I’m finding that without being officially licensed, teaching opportunities are far more limited. And I have a husband who likes America too much to leave for Asia.

So! I found an excellent online program through a Minnesota university and although it’s a two year commitment, the end will be worth it.

More soon,

Em
