Homemade Snowglobes

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m sure all of you are in much need of a respite from the work week. I, for one, am so excited to be heading north for a long weekend of playing in the snow, decorating Christmas cookies, and celebrating the birth of our Savior with my family and new in-laws. With Christmas falling on a Monday/Tuesday this year, I actually feel like I had time for a bit of holiday crafting. Thus, I created these snow globes to add a bit of whimsical Christmas charm to our apartment. Not only are these snow globes easy to make, but they are truly unique.

-One or more (depending on many globes you plan to make) mason jar

-White glitter or faux snow ‘sprinkles;

-A hot glue gun

-Miniature Christmas trees (I used a set I found at JoAnn Fabrics intended for one of those little Christmas villages)

1) Using a hot glue gun, glue the base of the Christmas tree unto the inside cover of the mason jar.

2) Turn the mason jar upside down and fill with half-inch of glitter or faux snow

3) Once the Christmas tree has set (I left mine alone for a few hours), screw lid back on the jar with the Christmas tree facing down….and, viola! Your homemade snow globe is finished!

And now to finish packing and hit the road! Merry Christmas, everyone!
